To offset the cost of the Plugfest Continua charges participants a fee for participating in the Plugfest event. The cost per company is a flat fee based on your Continua membership level, plus an incremental fee per person. The base fee covers one participant. There is no additional charge for bringing additional devices; however, you should bring enough people to cover all your devices during each test slot.
Fee's will be assessed and invoiced after registration closes.
*Fee's may be waived for test track facilitators and Continua employees.
If this is your first Plugfest or your first Continua Plugfest this page will explain what you can expect to do at the Plugfest and how to prepare to get the most from the event.
Germany uses Type F and C electric plugs. Power Strips with this type of plug will be provided at the Plugfest. If your device uses a different type of plug please ensure that you bring the proper adapter. Electricity in Germany is 230V/50Hz. See Details Here
The Plugfest day is divided into a series of test slots. Devices are scheduled to test against each other via test tracks during each testing slot. Ideally we have enough time in the two days to get every participant a chance to test against one another.
During the first test slot we will schedule all devices that have not previously attended a Plugfest into a Transport Testing slot. During this test slot your device will run against reference designs and test suites for Bluetooth via Health Device Profile (HDP) or USB via Personal Health Device (PHD) or Zigbee via Health Care Profile (HCP) or via HRN Sender or Receiver or WAN Sender or Receiver. Success during these test slots may affect your ability to interoperate during the remainder of the event.
A tentative schedule is available: Plugfest Schedule
Testing during each scheduled test slots will be based on the interoperability procedures provided by the TCWG. Devices should do their best to be complaint with the versions of the Specification listed below. Participants are expected to become familiar with the interoperability procedures ahead of the event.
Continua Administration, TOM, TWG and TCWG Chairs, BoD Members may get into the Plugfest free provided they are registered for the event or have received the TOM's approval to attend. Continua members who bring a tool used or required within the certification program or that is useful may attend free of charge (provided approved to do so in advance by the TCWG). Continua reserves the right to deny any of the above attendees based on feedback received via the Plugfest Survey or by budget constraints as approved to do so by the TCWG.
